The Marcos Mantula, the first major modernisation of the GT formula with Rover V8 power
1983

Marcos Mantula

The GT shape reborn with a 3.5-litre Rover V8. The alloy engine cut weight to around 900 kg and made the Mantula quick and competitive against TVR and Morgan.

A convertible Spyder followed in 1986 and outsold the coupe in later years.
