Mini Marcos

A fibreglass monocoque sports car on Mini A-series running gear, sold in kit form. Small, light and slippery, it punched far above its price.

Over 1,300 were built, and the design was licensed for production in South Africa, Australia and Ireland.

Achievements

  • Won on debut at Castle Combe, 25 September 1965, by 81 seconds
