The Manticore continues the Marcos lineage of lightweight, aerodynamically resolved sports cars, built in Wales by a team led by ex-Formula One engineer Tony Brown.

The Marcos Manticore is being developed by Marcos Cars, the British sports car marque founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin. The current programme is led by ex-Formula One engineer Tony Brown, alongside entrepreneur William Storey and a team drawn from Formula One.
The Marcos Manticore is scheduled to be revealed in Early Autumn 2026. The car is currently in advanced testing, and its final specification will be confirmed at the reveal.
Marcos is based in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales. The Manticore is designed and built in the United Kingdom.
The Manticore is a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive supercar with a naturally aspirated engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. It targets a top speed of 200 mph and is built on a custom space-frame chassis with a torsional strength of 28,000 Nm per degree. All figures are projected and will be confirmed at the Early Autumn 2026 reveal.
